I was impressed to find a return flight from Lon to Nbo on 01/09 until 30/09 for £468 last night. Roughly £100 cheaper than KA for the same period. Just goes to show how much prices drop once the safari companies are no longer interested!

Now Mambo, you wouldn't be expressing too much displeasure at such high taxes given the massive environmental toll of air travel would you? I too object to the coming to an end of cheap flights (within the UK). But the reality is we will all have to contribute to saving the environment!

I don't think the taxes have much to do with the environment. I have no objections to air travel - I believe there are far bigger environmental problems. Modern jets are efficient machines and air travel is not something we can do without. On the other hand, we can do with less cars...

I snared a ticket to fly from Toronto-Chicago Chicago- Tokyo for $1200.00 Flying JAL On the internet the same flight exactly was $2238.00 quite a difference in chunk of change.....

You have to start early and really shop around for the best ticket......
