One last question before I fly, where are the best sports shops in Nairobi? I want to get Kenya rugby, cricket and football shirts if possible and wasn't sure where to go. Any ideas folks?

There are two tiny little shops on moi avenue right after the baclays bank, they call them stalls , they have good stuff there.

Hey ToryBoy
Nairobi Sports House on Moi Avenue burned down in a fire not that long ago. Not sure if they're managed to rebuild it - anyone know? They set up a branch in the Yaya Centre on the second floor. There is a similar shop in 'The Mall' at Westlands, and I beleive there is now one downstairs at the Sarit Centre in Westlands as well.
As for getting the sports strips for Kenya, they're definitely going to be overpriced in the sports shops - I'd head for Biashara Street in downtown Nairobi to the textile merchants there, they tend to have these sorts of things for sale at better prices. 'Haria's Stamp Shop' on the left hand side of the street as you head from Mundi Mbingu Street towards Moi Avenue on Biashara Street is a good place to enquire, Mr Haria is a lovely gent. The shop is at the Mundi Mbingu end of the street.
Enjoy.

Just to let you know I've hunted high and low in Nairobi and there appears to be an almost complete lack of available Kenyan sportswear. I was looking for rugby and football shirts and all the aforementioned places had none. It was possible to purchase the (rather too lime green for my liking) cricket shirt for 1000 k/s and these were available at Sports House on Moi Ave and Village Market (a nice development but far too many wacoloni).
Oh and be warned. For those of us who love(d) the sweet taste of Fanta Passion, I couldn't get it anywhere - not in Nairobi, Eldoret, Nakuru, Lamu, Voi etc etc. I had to go all the way to Arusha for it!
Any comments Coca Cola?
