hi, I'm back...

it's cold in holland...

Had a great time, and for the low season, there were many tourists over in Kenya. That surprised me. We only had rain for about 15 minutes in the whole week, and the temperature was very good, for a mzungu. one day it was really really hot.

Everybody had their jobs still, so that was good to see. The clothes we brought were more than welcome.

I'm coming back here another time, the first day back I'm always cranky, and really have to get used to the 'over'wealth we have got here in the west. YACK.

If only we could do something about this difference.

I hope the new constitution comes through, quickly. The corruption is still a problem, it happens in another way now. I think they cannot ban it in 2, 3, or 4 years, it takes time.

I stayed in a cottage in Diani Beach. ( mangopark) Absolutely fabulous house. And quiet, not like in a hotel. We had a lot of dinners at Joseph's Sundowner Restaurant. Had lunches from the manyatta's. ( 30 KSH!) One week was too short ofcourse, but we had a great time. The Kenya Cane tasted great.
We go back for 2 weeks in september, and already booked the hotel, but maybe we rent the house again.

We had like 20 kilo's of clothing to give away, so in the villages they were quiet happy to see us again, they know we have things to give.

I think every time how well disciplined the children are over there, and really think that over here they can learn from it.
